Eight (8) Pan American Countries sent 109 of their world class juniors to this year’s BRITISH JUNIOI OPEN which is recognized as the second most prestigious junior open squash championship after the World Junior Squash Championships. Pan American athletes included Argentina (1), BVI (2), Canada (40), Colombia (1), Guatemala (5), Mexico (1), Paraguay (1) and USA (58). The famous British Junior Open has been running since 1926 with the Girl’s events commencing in 1981.
USA’s VIVAAN METHA became the 1ST PAN AMERICAN to capture the coveted Boy’s U15 Title
USA’s ALEXANDER DARTNELL became the 1ST American to reach the finals of the Boy’s U19.
Team USA’s incredible performance also made history with a record eighteen quarterfinalists and six semi-finalists.
It was a remarkable finish for Pan America with over 50% of our athletes finishing in the top 21 in the world in their age categories!
