2025 Pan Amercian Squash57 Championships- Sucre, Bolivia
May 15-18th, 2025
The Federacion Boliviana de Squash (FEBOSQUASH) definitely prove that BOLIVIA is currently the hotbed for Squash57 in Pan American capturing both the Pan American Cup (most points won by a country in the Open Division) and the Challenger Cup (most points accumulated in the Age Divisions) while amazing at total of 14 gold medals.
Thanks to the incredible foresight of former FEBO President Alba Gamarra, who recognized the potential of Squash 57 to increase participation for both adults and juniors across the region, Pan America witnessed a historic milestone in 2024. Gamarra’s advocacy led to the successful hosting of Pan America’s first-ever Regional Squash 57 Championships in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Current FEBO President Mirko Alverez carried that vision forward, determined to prove that Gamarra’s decision to promote Squash 57 in South America was not only transformative, it had now ignited a growing appetite for competition. This year’s championship was a testament to that ambition, featuring robust representation from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.
The 2025 Championships was proudly held at the newly inaugurated Conrrado Moscoso Ortiz Municipal Racquet Complex, a state-of-the-art facility that served as a fitting venue during Sucre’s bicentennial celebrations—a powerful symbol of sport and national pride coming together.
Massive thanks to incredible efforts of Championship Chair Mirko Alverez (President of FEBOSQUASH) and his superhuman Technical Director Gonzalo Amaya who miraculously managed a 14 draw schedule in only 4 days! Championship Referee Lolly Gillen, Chair of the World Squash- Squash57 Commission and Secretary General of the FPS was compliment by the strong team of referees including Edwin Maldonado, Antonio Fernandez and Guillermo Aldasoro.
