USA TOPS MEDAL COUNT AT PAN AM GAMES

USA squeaked passed Colombia in medal count on the final day of the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile. The Games attracted 14 players from Pan American ranked in the top 50 PSA World rankings  including World#2 Diego Elias (Peru) and World #5 Amanda Sobhy (USA) and was the first time Barbados qualified for games.

The medals and Fiu, the official Santiago Pan American and Parapan American Games mascot,  were presented throughout the week by Zena Wooldridge (President of the World Squash Federation) and Erskine Simmons (General Secretary of the Barbados Olympic Committee) seen in the above photo together with Cristian Parada (President of the Federacion Chilena de Squash) and Francisco Paradisi (Former President of the Federacion Panamericana de Squash).

Silver- Miguel Rodriguez (Colombia)- World #13- in his 4th straight final- Champion 2011 & 2015
