The 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games continued to showcase the remarkable growth of squash across the continent as the doubles competitions concluded at the spectacular glass show court inside Ágora Mall in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Following the excitement of the individual events, the doubles competition added another chapter to an unforgettable tournament, producing memorable finals, outstanding performances, and an increasingly diverse medal table.
One of the strongest indicators of the sport’s development is the fact that seven of the eleven participating nations have now earned at least one medal during the Games. With Barbados, Colombia, Guatemala, Guyana, Mexico, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands all reaching the podium across different events, more than half of the participating countries celebrated medal-winning performances.
Colombia dominates Men’s Doubles
Top seeds Juan Camilo Vargas and Matías Knudsen confirmed their status as tournament favorites by capturing the Men’s Doubles gold medal.
The Colombian pair completed an outstanding tournament without dropping a single game, defeating Guatemala’s Alejandro Enríquez and Josué Enríquez 11-9, 11-5 in the final.
Mexico’s Leonel Cárdenas and César Salazar shared the bronze medal alongside Jamaica’s Julian Morrison and Tahjia Lumley, both semifinalists.

Mexico earns second gold in Mixed Doubles
Mexico added another title to its successful campaign as Luz Sarahí López Domínguez and Alfredo Ávila captured the Mixed Doubles gold medal.
The Mexican duo defeated Colombia’s Lucía Bautista Sarmiento and Miguel Ángel Rodríguez 11-9, 11-6 in the championship match, securing Mexico’s second gold medal of the squash competition.
Guyana’s Ashley Khalil and Jason-Ray Khalil, together with Guatemala’s Jose Ricardo Toscano Mérida and Winifer Bonilla Sandoval, completed the podium with bronze medals.

Colombia celebrated another historic performance as sisters Laura Viviana Tovar Pérez and María Paula Tovar Pérez captured the Women’s Doubles gold medal.
The Colombian pair defeated Guyana’s Ashley Khalil and Mary Fung-A-Fat 11-6, 11-1 in the final, demonstrating their consistency throughout the tournament and adding another gold medal to Colombia’s impressive campaign.
The bronze medals were awarded to Darlyn Paola Sandoval Rodríguez and Tabita Carolina Gaitán Hernández of Guatemala, as well as Jade Pitcairn and Lara Katryna Connolly of the Cayman Islands.
