The future of Pan American squash returns to the court this August as the III Pan American Open Squash Championship U11, U13, U15 & U17 heads to Bucaramanga, Colombia, from August 27–30, 2026. Created by PanAm Squash under the leadership of President Sergio Becerra, the championship has quickly become one of the continent’s most important development events, giving young athletes the opportunity to compete internationally while building friendships and gaining valuable experience.
Following two successful editions hosted in Guatemala in 2024 and 2025, the championship continues to grow, expanding opportunities for the next generation of players across the Americas. What began as an event focused on the U15 and U17 divisions has evolved into a four-category championship, now welcoming competitors in U11, U13, U15 and U17, creating an even stronger pathway for junior development. The event reflects PanAm Squash’s commitment to increasing competitive opportunities and raising the overall standard of squash throughout the region.
Competition Format
The tournament will feature boys’ and girls’ singles competitions in four age divisions:
- U11 (born in 2016 or later)
- U13 (born in 2014 or later)
- U15 (born in 2012 or later)
- U17 (born in 2010 or later)
Athletes must either be natives of the country they represent or have resided there for at least three years.
Two Outstanding Venues
Competition will be held across two of Bucaramanga’s premier squash facilities.
Club Campestre de Bucaramanga will host the U15 and U17 events on Thursday and Friday, while all championship semifinals and finals across every category will also take place there during the weekend. The venue features four squash courts. Meanwhile, Club Unión Bucaramanga, equipped with three squash courts, will host the U11 and U13 divisions during the opening days, as well as all plate matches and placement rounds from fifth position onward.
