GUYANA may have stunned the Pan American squash world by finally capturing their first ever gold medal in a Pan American squash championship when retired veteran Nicolette Fernandes captured gold in the Women’s Individual but COLOMBIA stole the show by winning 5 of the 7 gold medals.

The FPS wishes to express its deepest gratitude to Guatemala: the Guatemalan Olympic Committee, the Executive Committee of the Guatemalan National Squash Sports Association, the administrative team, sports technical director, the sponsors and the volunteers, for staging a world class championship. Guatemala has definitely raised the bar on hospitality, presentation and venue with their spectacular state of the art squash facility (11 glass back courts, two wall glass doubles show court and four wall glass show court complete with stadium seating an a fully equipped gym).  Congratulation and thank you Guatemala!!!

Huge thanks to Tournament Referee and Technical Director, our Superman Leonardo Arozena…..Leo did a remarkable job ensuring all matches were on time and all matches were professional refereed. Thank you Leo and the referees!

The entire week in Guatemala City was an amazing celebration of squash. Everyone was truly thankful to be back competing internationally again!
